Barbara Gomez, DVM

Dr. Barbara Gomez first joined West Seattle Animal Hospital in 2001. She earned her DVM from Washington State University. She is also certified in veterinary acupuncture.

Before becoming a veterinarian, Dr. Gomez earned a degree in Soil Conservation and Land Use Planning from the University of Florida. She was the first female firefighter in the Florida Keys Volunteer Fire Department. She also graduated from nursing school, joined the Air Force, and was an RN in emergency and operating rooms. 

In her spare time, she enjoys home improvement projects, gardening, sewing, cooking and reading. She has four dogs, five cats, and four chickens.
